Infographic: National Forklift Safety Day
Now in its 7th year, National Forklift Safety Day (June 11) is aimed at raising awareness of the safe use of forklifts and the importance of proper operator training.
In conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), the key messages being delivered for this year’s event are:
- Seat belts save lives.
- Management is responsible for making sure operator restraints are always used.
As manufacturers and suppliers of forks and forklift attachments, the safety of the products we supply is of the greatest importance. That’s why we spend time making sure every fork or attachment we supply has been rigorously tested and meets all the necessary safety standards.
We help improve forklift safety by manufacturing products in line with industry regulations and guidance (take a look at the infographic below to see a list of the regulations we adhere to). And beyond having the correct equipment, forklift safety also means knowing how to operate and behave safely around forklifts.
In light of National Forklift Safety Day, we’ve put together this infographic. It contains information on the safety standards of our products and processes, as well as practical advice for safe forklift operations. If you work around forklifts regularly, this safety advice probably isn’t new to you. But taking a fresh look is always worthwhile.
